Psychological Support Project Implemented in Partnership with the City Administration (2025)
In 2025, our organization implemented a psychological support project in partnership with the city administration, aimed at increasing access to mental health support for residents facing emotional distress, social vulnerability, and prolonged stress.
The project was developed in response to a growing need for accessible, low-threshold psychological assistance at the community level. Many individuals experience anxiety, emotional exhaustion, or relational difficulties but do not seek professional help due to stigma, lack of information, or limited availability of services. The collaboration with the city administration allowed us to reach these groups directly and create a safe, supportive environment within the urban community.
Project Goals
The main objectives of the project were:
-
to provide accessible psychological support to residents in need,
-
to reduce emotional distress and feelings of isolation,
-
to increase awareness of mental health and available support resources,
-
to strengthen cooperation between municipal structures and mental health professionals.
Project Activities
Throughout 2025, the project included a series of structured activities:
-
individual psychological consultations,
-
group support sessions,
-
psychoeducational workshops focused on emotional regulation, stress management, and relationships,
-
outreach and information sessions organized in cooperation with municipal services.
All activities were delivered by qualified psychologists and facilitators, following ethical standards and safeguarding principles. Particular attention was given to creating a non-judgmental and inclusive space, where participants could speak openly about their experiences.
Target Groups
The project was open to adult residents of the city, with a particular focus on individuals experiencing:
-
chronic stress or anxiety,
-
social isolation,
-
relationship difficulties,
-
life transitions or crisis situations.
Participation was voluntary and free of charge, ensuring equal access regardless of socio-economic background.
Results and Impact
Over the course of the project, dozens of residents received direct psychological support. Participants reported:
-
improved emotional awareness,
-
reduced feelings of isolation,
-
increased ability to cope with stress,
-
greater willingness to seek further psychological support when needed.
In addition to individual benefits, the project contributed to strengthening community resilience and normalizing conversations around mental health at the city level.
Partnership with the City Administration
The cooperation with the city administration played a key role in the project’s success. The municipality supported the initiative by facilitating access to spaces, assisting with outreach, and integrating the project into existing community support structures. This partnership demonstrated the importance of collaboration between public institutions and mental health professionals in addressing complex social and psychological challenges.
Conclusion
The 2025 psychological support project showed that community-based mental health initiatives can have a meaningful impact when implemented in close cooperation with local authorities. The experience confirmed the value of accessible psychological services and laid the groundwork for future initiatives aimed at supporting the emotional well-being of city residents.
