This project aims to engage young migrants in managing a more sustainable lifestyle, increase awareness toward a sustainable and ecological living urban environment and raise the discussion on climate changes.
In our introduction webinar, you will find out what are the benefits of gardening and how it can impact your mental health. We will give you useful tips on how to begin an adventure with urban gardening.
"Hello, my name is Angela, I'm a Mexican living in Prague since 2018. Being an expat and Prague has inspired me to start growing my own vegetables at home, even though I don't have too much space on the balcony I managed to have a good distribution and nice harvest last year. I consider myself an urban gardener and I would like to inspire others to start this green journey".
Luís Monteiro is a landscape architect based in Prague, with experience in nature conservation and nature-based tourism development in protected areas at academia, NGO, and industry. Besides designing and implementing ornamental and vegetable gardens, Luís is all-year-round no dig vegetable grower, with a great interest in ecology and regenerative garden and agriculture techniques. Lastly, he believes gardening can cultivate a meaningful and fun learning experience for everyone, and with this, in mind, he’s introducing children to gardening to increase their awareness of where food comes from and the importance of the environment in everyday life.
