Culture program in Prague 14

On the Prague 14 grounds, a number of musical performances and cultural gatherings took place. These gatherings are primarily intended to provide cultural settings for interactions between newly arrived Ukrainian refugees, immigrants who arrived in the Czech Republic before the start of the war, and Czechs. The language barrier is bridged by the way that music and art unite people and put them on the same wavelength.

On November 4th, a special vernissage showcasing the artwork of migrants was held in Prague 14. The event was enriched by a free concert performed by the talented musical quartet Alexander Vakhitov. On display were the works of young photographers from both the expatriate community in Prague and newly arrived Ukrainian refugees. Czech and international guests had the opportunity to see the city from a new perspective, as depicted through the eyes of these artists. This vernissage was a celebration of the diversity of cultures represented in Prague and a testament to the power of art in bringing people together.

Photo Club

The Foto Unity photography club, located in Prague 14, holds meetings where professionals and amateurs from diverse photography genres and styles give lectures. Both novice and experienced photographers can benefit from the workshops, lectures, and photo walks, as these events provide opportunities for experience sharing and skill development.

Foto unity was designed as a platform for refugees from Ukraine who are interested in the art of photography. This club offers a creative outlet, removed from political conflicts, where refugees can connect with people from diverse backgrounds and learn more about integrating into their new community. With workshops, lectures, and photo walks, the club encourages the exchange of experiences and fosters growth and learning for photographers of all skill levels.

In this club, people, regardless of their nationality and professional background, met and exchanged experiences, facilitating the painful period of adaptation during integration in the Czech Republic.

Last workshop was held by Gleb Osipov, a photographer with a long experience in the film photography.
